GOAT Lab is a free daily basketball game about one question: who is the greatest at each part of the game? You draft one player for each attribute, pulling from different eras and teams, to build a single player with no weak spots.
The goal
Over nine rounds you pick the best player for one attribute at a time. Your final score reflects how strong every pick is — one weak link drags the whole build down, so the perfect player is great everywhere.
The nine attributes
Each round asks you to draft for one of these: Height, Shooting, Finishing, Handles, Passing, Defense, Rebounding, Athleticism, and IQ. Every player on the board belongs to a specific era and team, so the same legend can show up differently across years.
The three modes
- Daily — the same draft for everyone, one attempt, ranked on the global leaderboard. A fresh challenge every day. Build a streak by playing day after day.
- Classic — ratings are shown before you pick. Pure roster-building.
- Blind — ratings are hidden. Trust your basketball knowledge. (Daily is always played blind.)
Respins
Each game gives you three one-time respins — era, team, and attribute — to reroll what's in front of you. Each can be used once per game, so spend them wisely. GOAT Pass holders also get a Reveal button in Blind and Daily: once per game, it shows every player's rating for the stat on the table. It only applies to the cards you're looking at — respin, and the new cards deal hidden and the reveal is spent.
Scoring & tiers
Builds are scored from 0 to 100. The higher your weakest links, the higher your ceiling. Your score lands you in a tier:

A perfect 100 is possible — but it's rare air. Most great builds live in the 90s.
Ranks & XP
Every game you finish earns XP, and XP levels you up through 12 ranks — from Rookie all the way to GOAT. Play the Daily (and keep your streak alive), run Classic and Blind, post high scores, and unlock trophies to climb. Your rank and progress bar show on your home screen, and there's an all-time XP leaderboard for the most dedicated players. Everyone earns XP and a rank for free; GOAT Pass holders earn +25% XP on every game, get to show an evolving rank badge on the public board, and can replay any past Daily from the archive as practice. (These persistent ranks are separate from the per-build score tiers above — one is your career progress, the other is how a single build scored.)
